Azure data engineer

Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud data engineering, specifically with Azure technologies, and will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Work with Azure SQL Database and Cosmos DB to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide support.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and services to ensure high availability and performance.
• Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for data engineering.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5-12 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Azure Data Services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
• Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or Scala.
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Azure Synapse Analytics or Hadoop.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
