Azure Cloud Security

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Application/Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen our cloud security posture and ensure the protection of sensitive healthcare data across our Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure Security Services, a strong understanding of cloud security best practices, and a proactive approach to threat detection and mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage security controls across Azure environments using:

Microsoft Defender for Cloud (Security Center)

Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM)

Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)

Azure Policy and Blueprints

Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud applications and infrastructure.

Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats in real-time.

Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.

Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with healthcare compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA).

Provide guidance on identity and access management, encryption, and secure configuration.

Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend improvements to security architecture.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of experience in Azure Security Services.

Strong hands-on expertise in:

Microsoft Defender for Cloud (Security Center)

Microsoft Sentinel

Azure AD (Identity & Access Management)

Azure Policy, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Conditional Access

Experience in securing cloud-native applications and infrastructure.

Familiarity with healthcare data protection regulations and compliance frameworks.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate

Experience in healthcare or insurance domain.

Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and multi-cloud security strategies.

Exposure to threat modeling and penetration testing.
