The Cloud Network Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions in the Azure cloud environment. This role requires a strong background in both cloud and on-premises networking.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions in Azure cloud environment.
- Design hybrid network connectivity between on-premises data centers and Azure using ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, and Virtual WAN.
- Develop network architecture standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud and hybrid environments.
- Create detailed network design documentation including topology diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and security policies.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud networking technologies and services to meet business requirements.
- Design multi-region and multi-cloud network architectures for global connectivity and disaster recovery.
- Implement and configure Azure networking services including VNets, subnets, NSGs, ASGs, route tables, and network virtual appliances.
- Deploy and manage Azure ExpressRoute circuits, private peering, and Microsoft peering configurations.
- Configure and optimize Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and Traffic Manager for high availability.
- Implement Azure Firewall, Azure DDoS Protection, and third-party NVAs for network security.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues in Azure environment using Network Watcher, flow logs, and diagnostic tools.
- Design and implement connectivity between on-premises networks and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep for network resource provisioning.
- Lead network architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Drive network modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
Qualifications
10+ Years of experience in cloud networking, with a strong background in on-premises networking.
