Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineers will be the hands-on executors of the migration program. Working in a team of 3–4 engineers, they will perform VM replication, manage migration tooling, configure Azure resources, and execute cutovers across the migration waves, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum fidelity.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy and manage Azure Migrate appliances for agentless VM discovery and replication
- Execute VM migrations using Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Azure Migrate for large-scale waves
- Configure Azure IaaS resources: VMs, managed disks, availability sets, proximity placement groups
- Build and manage Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, route tables, and NSGs
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / Bicep) for resource provisioning
- Perform pre/post-migration validation testing and application smoke tests
- Manage cutover execution windows including DNS switchover and traffic validation
- Maintain migration runbooks, cutover checklists, and wave status dashboards
Required Qualifications- 5+ years in cloud infrastructure or systems engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Networking
- Proficiency with Windows Server and Linux administration in Azure
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform or Bicep
- AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) certification preferred
- Understanding of VMware vSphere / ESXi concepts (source environment awareness)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have- VMware hands-on experience with vCenter, vMotion, vSAN
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AZ-140) or SAP on Azure
- PowerShell or Python scripting for automation
- ITIL Foundation certification for change management familiarity
