Cloud Engineer (Azure Focused)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Cloud Engineer to support the deployment and management of our enterprise software for customers. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen our ability to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructureprimarily in Microsoft Azure, with some exposure to AWS.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with DevOps, IT, and Product Engineering teams to provision and maintain cloud infrastructure, support customer deployments, and continuously improve the customer deployment experience through documentation and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Provision, maintain, and support customer cloud environments (primarily Microsoft Azure)
- Assist customers with software deployments, troubleshooting, and post-deployment issues
- Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting for Azure-based infrastructure and services
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to provide feedback on deployment automation tools and processes
- Create and maintain internal documentation related to infrastructure, deployments, and customer environments
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support customer deployments and operational incidents
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a Cloud Engineering or DevOps-related role
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including:
- Virtual Machines (VMs)
- VNets
- Azure Monitor
- Azure Active Directory
- ARM and/or Bicep templates
- Familiarity with AWS services and deployment concepts
- Proficiency with:
- Terraform
- Kubernetes
- Docker
- Bash scripting
- Helm
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, and VPNs
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, ELK, or similar
- Strong troubleshooting skills, especially in software deployment scenarios
- Experience supporting customer-facing deployments or environments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams
Nice to Have
- Exposure to OpenShift
- Knowledge of cloud security, compliance practices, and cost optimization
- Experience mentoring others or leading technical initiatives
