Job Title: Azure Cloud Developer
Role Overview
We are looking for a
hands-on Azure Cloud Developer who can design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure. This role is focused on
application development, not infrastructure management. The ideal candidate has strong programming skills and experience building scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions using Azure services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud-native applications using Azure services
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices architectures
- Develop serverless solutions using Azure Functions and Logic Apps
- Work with Azure App Services to deploy and manage web applications
- Integrate applications with Azure services like Storage, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Cosmos DB
- Implement RESTful APIs and ensure performance, security, and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and product teams
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for CI/CD integration
- Troubleshoot and optimize applications for performance and cost efficiency
Required Skills & Experience- 4 8 years of experience in software development with at least 2+ years on Azure
- Hands-on experience with:
- Azure Functions
- Azure App Services
- Azure Storage (Blob, Queue, Table)
- Azure Service Bus / Event Grid
- Experience in building and consuming REST APIs
- Understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns
- Familiarity with Azure SDKs and cloud-native development practices
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions)
- Knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB)
Good to Have
- Experience with Docker / containerization (not mandatory infra-level expertise)
- Exposure to Kubernetes (AKS) from a developer perspective
- Understanding of authentication & authorization (Azure AD, OAuth)
- Experience with event-driven architecture
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and TDD
