Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure, aligning with business and technical requirements.
- Develop Azure architecture blueprints and detailed documentation for cloud services including compute, storage, networking, databases, identity, and security.
- Lead cloud adoption and migration strategies, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and modernization approaches.
- Define and implement governance, security, and compliance controls within the Azure environment using tools like Azure Policy, Azure Blueprints, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Collaborate with development teams to design microservices-based applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and other PaaS offerings.
- Optimize Azure usage and costs through monitoring, scaling strategies, and cost-management best practices.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing technical guidance and architectural reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 + years of experience in cloud architecture or solution design, with at least 3 years working specifically with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong hands-on experience with core Azure services (VMs, App Services, Azure SQL, Azure AD, Azure Storage, VNETs, etc.).
- Deep understanding of networking, identity, and security within Azure (e.g., NSGs, Azure Firewall, RBAC, Azure Key Vault).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (AZ-305).
- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures (on-prem to Azure).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 in the context of Azure.
- Experience integrating Azure with third-party tools and platforms.
