Role Summary

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Axway MFT Tools Administrator to support transition and steady-state operations for Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms. The role involves leading transition activities from incumbent vendors, performing knowledge acquisition, ensuring environment stabilization, and providing ongoing administration, monitoring, and support of Axway MFT infrastructure.

The candidate will play a key role in ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant file transfer services across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Transition & KT Activities

  • Participate in transition planning, due diligence, and knowledge acquisition sessions.
  • Review and validate existing MFT architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Runbooks, and Known Error Database (KEDB).
  • Identify transition risks and mitigation plans.
  • Support reverse shadow and shadow support phases.
  • Ensure service stabilization post-transition.

Administration & Operations

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Axway MFT components (SecureTransport, CFT, Gateway, Sentinel as applicable).
  • Manage user onboarding, partner onboarding, and certificate management.
  • Configure file transfer workflows, routing rules, and security policies.
  • Perform performance tuning and capacity management.
  • Monitor MFT environments and respond to incidents and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, authentication, encryption, and transfer failures.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement encryption standards (PGP, SSL/TLS).
  • Manage SSH keys, certificates, and secure communication channels.
  • Support audit requirements and compliance reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies and data protection guidelines.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting (Shell, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Identify process improvements to enhance service reliability.
  • Support monitoring integration (Splunk, Dynatrace, OEM, etc.).
  • Participate in patching and vulnerability remediation activities.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Axway MFT Suite:
  • Axway SecureTransport
  • Axway CFT
  • Axway Gateway
  • Axway Sentinel (optional but preferred)
  • Experience in Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server administration
  • Knowledge of:
  • SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2 protocols
  • SSL/TLS, PGP encryption
  • Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Database knowledge (Oracle / SQL Server)
  • Experience with load balancers (F5, Netscaler) preferred
  • Basic scripting (Shell / PowerShell / Python)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in transition projects within managed services environment
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Experience working in 24x7 support model
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) is an added advantage
  • Monitoring tool exposure

Educational Qualifications
