AWS WorkSpace Engineer

Job Title: AWS WorkSpace Engineer / VDI Specialist

Experience: 8-12 years

Location: Pan India

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage, deploy, and support Amazon WorkSpaces environments. The role involves configuring virtual desktops, resolving technical issues, and ensuring secure and efficient access for end users.

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy and manage Amazon WorkSpaces environments across the organization

Configure AWS Directory Services such as AD Connector or Microsoft Active Directory

Provision and manage user WorkSpaces based on business requirements

Provide L2/L3 support for user issues including login failures, connectivity problems, and performance concerns

Monitor system performance using AWS tools like CloudWatch

Optimize system performance, storage, and cost utilization

Implement security best practices including IAM roles, policies, and MFA

Ensure compliance with organizational security standards

Automate provisioning and maintenance tasks using AWS CLI, PowerShell, or Terraform

Perform system upgrades, backups, and patching

Configure networking components like VPC, subnets, VPN, and security groups

Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of Amazon WorkSpaces and AWS services such as EC2, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch

Experience with Active Directory and Windows/Linux system administration

Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, and VPN

Experience with scripting tools such as PowerShell or Shell

Preferred Skills:

Experience with VDI platforms like Citrix or VMware Horizon

Knowledge of automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

Understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks
