Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
AWS Platform Developer to design, build, and enhance internal developer platforms that improve developer productivity, reliability, and scalability. The role focuses on full-stack development, AWS integrations, CI/CD automation, and developer experience engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Platform Development
- Build and extend UI components using React and TypeScript for internal platform portals.
- Develop backend services and integrations using Node.js and Express.
- Customize platform features to support internal engineering teams.
- AWS & CI/CD Integrations
- Integrate Backstage (Internal Developer Portal) with AWS services.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Work with Kubernetes clusters for deployment and service orchestration.
- Developer Experience (DevEx) Engineering
- Design and implement golden paths for service onboarding.
- Build and manage service scorecards, API discovery, and developer workflows.
- Create dashboards and metrics to track platform adoption and developer productivity.
- Platform Automation & Observability
- Implement secure authentication and authorization using SSO / OAuth.
- Enable monitoring and observability using Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Ensure platform reliability, performance, and scalability.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express
- Hands-on experience with AWS services
- Knowledge of Backstage or internal developer platforms
- CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions
- Kubernetes fundamentals and cloud-native architectures
- Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus)
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms (SSO, OAuth)
Nice to Have
- Experience building internal platforms or developer portals
- Exposure to DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering teams
- Familiarity with microservices and API governance
