AWS & OS SME / Engineer

Responsibilities

. Provides L3 support for complex incidents, requests and problems across AWS services and Windows/Linux operating environments.

. Administers and troubleshoots EC2, Lambda, ECS, S3, IAM, KMS, WAF, Route 53, CloudWatch, AWS Backup and other managed services.

. Performs advanced Windows and Linux troubleshooting, configuration analysis and operational remediation.

. Leads root-cause analysis for recurring or high-impact issues and develops corrective and preventive actions.

. Reviews system performance, identifies bottlenecks and recommends or implements approved optimisation actions.

. Supports automation of repeatable cloud and operating-system administration tasks.

. Designs, reviews and supports high-availability and disaster-recovery arrangements, including recovery validation and testing.

. Plans and executes complex approved changes with clear risk analysis, validation and backout plans.

. Supports security-related administration across IAM, KMS, WAF, operating-system hardening and access controls.

. Provides technical guidance, coaching and escalation support to L1 and L2 engineers.

. Coordinates with clients, internal teams and third parties during critical incidents and complex technical activities.

. Maintains technical documentation, operating procedures and troubleshooting knowledge for supported services.

. Identifies service improvement opportunities and contributes to engineering standards and reusable solutions.

. Performs any other related task as required.

Requirements

. Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience).

. Certifications relevant to the services provided carry additional weightage on a candidate's qualification for the role.

. 6+ years of overall relevant experience.

. 5+ years of experience in AWS/Cloud and operating-system operations, including L3 troubleshooting.

. Hands-on administration and troubleshooting experience across EC2, Lambda, ECS, S3, IAM, KMS, WAF, Route 53, CloudWatch, AWS Backup and other managed services.

. Strong experience with Windows/Linux, automation, HA/DR, performance analysis and root-cause analysis.

Required certification(s):

. AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.

Good-to-have certification(s):

. AWS Certified Security - Specialty or AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty.

. RHCE.

. Relevant Microsoft certification.
