Job Description

Job Title: AWS Junior Engineer (3+ Years Experience)

Location: Bangalore

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AWS Junior Engineer with hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure, server patching, basic DevOps practices, and networking fundamentals. The ideal candidate will support cloud environments, ensure system reliability, assist in automation efforts, and maintain security compliance through patching and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Support

  • Assist in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining AWS resources such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM
  • Monitor cloud environments to ensure uptime, performance, and cost optimization
  • Support incident resolution and perform root cause analysis for infrastructure issues

Server Patching & Maintenance

  • Perform regular OS patching and updates (Linux/Windows servers) in AWS environments
  • Ensure compliance with security and vulnerability management policies
  • Coordinate patching schedules to minimize business impact
  • Maintain patching reports and audit readiness documentation

DevOps Support (Basic)

  • Assist in CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  • Mandatory experience operating workloads on AWS ECS (EC2 and/or Fargate) in production environments.
  • Support deployment automation using scripts (Shell/Python)
  • Work with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, DSC, Ansible
  • Participate in release deployments and rollback procedures

Networking & Security

  • Support configuration and troubleshooting of VPC, subnets, route tables, security groups, and NACLs
  • Basic understanding of DNS, load balancing (ELB/ALB), VPN, and firewall rules
  • Assist in implementing cloud security best practices and IAM policies

Monitoring & Documentation

  • Working knowledge of observability platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, or Sumo Logic.
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and infrastructure documentation
  • Participate in on-call support rotation (if required)
