- We are seeking a results-oriented Infrastructure engineer to help perform BAU (incidents and changes) within a Windows based environment and assist the team with migrating our workload from on-prem into the cloud (AWS)
- The Infrastructure engineer will perform the technical analysis on the migration strategy, make recommendations then follow through with performing the changes within an ITIL framework
- To ensure success as an infrastructure engineer, you should exhibit knowledge of best practices in Windows server management and experience in a similar role. A top-notch infrastructure engineer will be someone whose optimization skills translate into the efficient flow of information and document the process throughout an organization.
Accountabilities
- Maintaining and enhancing the performance of existing Wintel server infrastructure. - Active Directory, DNS, IIS, file & print etc
- Implementation, support and migration of AWS cloud services and associated BAU support
- Extensive experience in provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure
- Manage and create cloud formation templates is essential
- Provisioning Office 365 and Azure services as required
- Analysing technical requirements to perform migrations from server 2008 to server 2016/2019
- Migrating legacy (IIS & exchange) workloads from a legacy operating system to a supportable operating system
- Break/Fix of issues in the Infrastructure support queue
- Involvement in projects pertaining to provisioning, migrating and creating infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment

Skills, qualifications &
experience
- Bachelors degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or similar.
- Applicable licensing, certification, and registration. (MCSE desirable)
- A minimum of 10 years experience in Infrastructure engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of Wintel Support and Microsoft Technologies
- Experience with implementation, support and migration of AWS cloud services essential
- Experience with Office 365 and Azure required
- Experience in migrating IIS & exchange workloads from a legacy operating system to a supportable operating system is advantageous
- Sound knowledge of best practices in Infrastructure engineering and data security.
- ESXi, vSphere knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Sound experienced on both Exchange 2016 and office 365.
- Hands on experienced on window patching tool SCCM and WSUS.
- Good experience on windows VAPT.
