Aws Devops Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps / Cloud Automation Engineer to drive database and infrastructure migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, observability, and secure automation practices. The role focuses on automating deployments, ensuring reliability and resilience, and enabling multi-cloud migration workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate Everything: Convert manual database, web portal, Lambda function deployments, and migration tasks into repeatable, version-controlled scripts to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, including provisioning VPCs, replication instances, endpoints, and security configurations.
• Database Migration Automation: Automate end-to-end migration pipelines, manage deployment packages, and integrate migration tasks into CI/CD workflows.
• CI/CD for Databases & Applications: Design robust deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline to ensure code and infrastructure changes are reliably built, tested, and deployed across dev, staging, and production environments.
• Observability & Monitoring: Implement real-time monitoring and dashboards using Prometheus, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch to track deployments, detect latency, and proactively remediate errors.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Package migration tools and scripts into Docker containers, manage execution consistency across environments with Kubernetes, and handle deployment packaging with Helm charts.
• DevSecOps Practices: Integrate security early in the pipeline using AWS Secrets Manager or HashiCorp Vault, and conduct automated vulnerability scans on migration infrastructure.
• Reliability & Resilience: Implement Blue-Green or Canary deployment strategies to ensure zero downtime during migrations, with safe rollback capabilities.
• Cost Optimization: Apply FinOps principles to right-size cloud instances, implement auto-scaling, and optimize costs for migration environments.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the technical bridge between Development, Security, and Business teams to ensure secure, compliant, and reliable deployment processes.
