The Role: AWS Developer
The AWS Developer will work as part of the Digital Platforms IT team to build, maintain, and scale the Centralized Warranty Repository, a critical System of Record (SoR) designed to unify B2B and B2C warranty data. You will be responsible for developing the high-performance microservices and secure database architecture that serve as the single source of truth for over 15 million product records.

Your Contribution
In This Role, You Will Design And Implement a Two-layer System Of Record That Handles High Volume Data Migrations And Real-time Warranty Calculations. You Will:
- Architect and Develop: Build the core Calculation Engine using AWS Lambda to automate complex warranty logic based on source precedence (Purchase Date > Service Contract > Manufacture Date).
- Database Management: Manage and optimize Amazon Aurora MySQL clusters to ensure scalability for 15M+ records and a daily influx of 6,000+ new entries.
- Security & Networking: Implement rigorous security measures including VPC isolation, Private Subnets, and JWT-based authentication via Lambda Authorizers.
- Integrations: Collaborate with Workato developers to bridge the AWS ecosystem with Salesforce and Zendesk, ensuring seamless data flow via webhooks and EventBridge.
- Data Integrity: Design audit logging systems to track every record change (who, what, when, why) and implement data validation rules.
- Optimization: Monitor system performance using CloudWatch and manage secrets securely via AWS Secrets Manager.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in AWS development and cloud-native architecture.
- Serverless Expertise: Deep proficiency in AWS Lambda for building high-transaction microservices and complex calculation engines.
- Database Mastery: Strong experience with Amazon Aurora (MySQL), including schema design, performance tuning for high I/O workloads, and managing large-scale migrations (15M+ records).
- Security Mindset: Proven track record of implementing VPC security groups, private subnets, and robust API authentication using JWT.
- Integration Skills: Knowledge of event-driven architectures using EventBridge and data replication tools like DMS (Database Migration Service).
- Core Tech Stack: Strong understanding of Web technologies (HTTP, JSON) and programming concepts required for Lambda development.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a higher equivalent.
Preferable Skills & Behaviors
- Cloud Operations: Experience with AWS GuardDuty for threat detection and CloudWatch for operational monitoring.
- Tooling: Familiarity with Workato or MuleSoft integration platforms is a major plus.
- Agility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, moving from initial data migration (Phase 1) to stable production maintenance (Phase 2).
- Communication: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address gaps in async data chains and failure point strategies.
