Job Description

Industry & Sector: Cloud data engineering and analytics services serving enterprise customers. We build scalable ETL pipelines, data lakes and analytics platforms on AWS to enable data-driven decisioning across finance, retail, and SaaS domains.

Role: AWS Data Engineer (On-site, India) responsible for designing, building and operating robust AWS-native data platforms that deliver reliable batch and near-real-time data to analytics and ML teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS to ingest, transform and publish data across the enterprise data lake and warehouse.
  • Develop and optimise PySpark jobs and Glue ETL scripts to process large datasets with a focus on reliability and cost-efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain data storage solutions using S3 and Amazon Redshift, including schema design, partitioning and performance tuning.
  • Orchestrate workflows and job scheduling using Apache Airflow (or managed Airflow) and implement monitoring, alerting and retry strategies.
  • Define and apply infrastructure-as-code for data platform components using Terraform or CloudFormation; participate in CI/CD for data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analytics and QA teams to translate business requirements into production-grade data models, SLAs and observability.

  • Strong SQL and data modelling skills; experience with dimensional modelling and columnar storage best practices.
  • Comfortable working on-site in India and collaborating across engineering, analytics and product teams to meet SLAs.
