Role: AWS Data Engineer (On-site, India) responsible for designing, building and operating robust AWS-native data platforms that deliver reliable batch and near-real-time data to analytics and ML teams.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS to ingest, transform and publish data across the enterprise data lake and warehouse.
- Develop and optimise PySpark jobs and Glue ETL scripts to process large datasets with a focus on reliability and cost-efficiency.
- Implement and maintain data storage solutions using S3 and Amazon Redshift, including schema design, partitioning and performance tuning.
- Orchestrate workflows and job scheduling using Apache Airflow (or managed Airflow) and implement monitoring, alerting and retry strategies.
- Define and apply infrastructure-as-code for data platform components using Terraform or CloudFormation; participate in CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analytics and QA teams to translate business requirements into production-grade data models, SLAs and observability.
