About The Opportunity
A technology services firm operating in the Cloud & Data Engineering sector, building AWS-native data platforms and scalable analytics solutions for enterprise customers across finance, retail, and digital services. We deliver production-grade ETL pipelines, operational data lakes, and analytics-ready warehouses to power BI, ML, and reporting workloads.
Position: AWS Data Engineer (On-site, India)
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate end-to-end AWS data pipelines and ETL workflows to ingest, transform, and deliver high-quality data for analytics and ML.
- Develop and maintain serverless data processing using AWS Glue, Lambda, and orchestrate batch/streaming ingestion (Kinesis/Glue Streaming).
- Implement and optimize data storage and query layers using S3, Redshift, Athena, and apply partitioning, compression, and schema evolution best practices.
- Author infrastructure-as-code for data platforms using Terraform or CloudFormation and integrate deployments into CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish monitoring, observability and alerting for data workflows (CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenSearch) and lead root-cause analysis for production issues.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and product owners to translate requirements into scalable, cost-effective solutions and mentor junior engineers.

Additional Qualifications

- Proven experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and implementing data governance and security controls (IAM, encryption, VPC).
