AWS Data Engineer

AWS Glue | AWS Redshift | ETL/ELT | Data Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines on AWS

• Build and optimize data workflows using AWS Glue

• Design and manage data warehousing solutions using AWS Redshift

• Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, and governance practices

• Develop efficient data models and datasets for analytics and BI requirements

• Troubleshoot pipeline issues and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability

• Follow AWS security, compliance, access control, and encryption best practices

• Contribute to reusable frameworks, standards, and documentation

Must-Have Skills

Strong hands-on experience with AWS Glue – Glue Jobs, Glue Studio, job orchestration

Strong experience with AWS Redshift – query optimization, workload management, performance/cost tuning

End-to-end experience delivering AWS data engineering solutions

Strong understanding of ETL/ELT and data warehousing

Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data cataloging

Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively

AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics, Solutions Architect, or Developer will be an added advantage.
