Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
AWS Serverless Engineer with strong expertise in
Python development to design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with AWS serverless services, automation, and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable serverless applications on AWS
- Develop robust backend services and automation scripts using Python
- Build event-driven architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of cloud solutions
- Implement security best practices including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance controls
- Monitor applications using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and logging frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Product
Required Skills & Qualifications- 7+ years of overall IT experience
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS serverless architecture
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Expertise in AWS services such as:
- Lambda
- API Gateway
- S3
- DynamoDB
- Step Functions
- SQS / SNS
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline)
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization concepts
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, security groups)
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools
- Experience in performance tuning and cost optimization
- AWS Certification (Solutions Architect / Developer / DevOps)
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
