AWS Cloud Architect

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Architect with strong expertise in cloud automation, disaster recovery, containerized workloads, and DevSecOps practices. This role requires a blend of architectural vision, hands-on engineering, and leadership in enabling secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• AWS Expertise:
• Bring 10+ years of overall experience with at least 5+ years in AWS.
• Design and implement disaster recovery strategies, landing zones, and infrastructure automation.
• Host and manage containerized workloads using AWS EKS.
• Automation & Infrastructure:
• Drive automation in cloud deployments using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Contribute to the construction and maintenance of the Software Factory platform.
• Assist and train project teams in setting up CI/CD pipelines.
• DevSecOps Leadership:
• Stay updated with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Innovate by proposing new ideas and demonstrating initiative.
• Participate in retrospectives, demos, and feedback sessions to share knowledge.
• Contribute to platform documentation including onboarding guides and operational manuals.
• Cloud-Native Engineering:
• Ensure secure, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud architecture.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Apply FinOps principles for cost optimization and scalability.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Hands-on expertise with AWS services and infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, or PHP.
• Strong knowledge of networking and cloud security.
• Production-grade experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Helm Charts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.
• Clear and precise communication skills; fluency in English is essential.
• Exposure to DevSecOps tools such as SonarCloud, Rapid7, and awareness of OWASP Top 10.

Certifications (Preferred)

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect / AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (mandatory in core skills).
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) – optional but preferred.
