AWS Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend services and platform capabilities on AWS.
- Develop cloud-native applications and backend services using core AWS technologies such as Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Fargate, and other serverless and container-based services.
- Design and deliver robust RESTful APIs using Python, with experience in modern backend frameworks such as FastAPI and Flask.
- Design scalable data models, storage strategies, and backend data layers for large-scale, data-driven applications.
- Integrate backend systems with external APIs, web services, data pipelines, and AI model-driven workflows used across the product.
- Use AI models and AI-assisted engineering tools to improve solution design, accelerate development, strengthen code quality, and enhance engineering productivity.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, business analysts, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve issues in distributed systems and production environments.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, engineering standards, code quality, and backend best practices.
- Work in an Agile development environment using tools such as Jira and Git.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies, patterns, and AI-enabled engineering practices relevant to backend development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required. Master's degree is preferred.
- 2-6 years of software development experience, including 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS.
- Strong experience in Python, REST API development, AWS, and database-backed application development.
- Hands-on experience with modern Python backend frameworks such as FastAPI and Flask.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, designing, developing, architecting, and implementing backend applications.
- Experience building data-driven products and applying AI models or AI-assisted development workflows in practical engineering environments is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Docker is a plus.
- AWS Certified Developer Associate is preferred. AWS Professional certification is a plus.
