Assistant Vice President – Wealth Management & AI Solutions

About the Role
Our wealth Management vertical is building next-generation AI-augmented solutions for leading private banks, asset managers, and wealth platforms across the US, UK, and APAC markets. We are looking for a seasoned AVP who brings deep domain expertise in wealth management and private banking, combined with a working fluency in machine learning and agentic AI — someone who can credibly lead client conversations, shape solution design, and drive delivery outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary domain authority for wealth management engagements, owning client relationships and delivery accountability
- Lead solutioning and pre-sales conversations with C-suite and senior stakeholders at private banks, family offices, and asset management firms
- Define business problems, translate them into analytical frameworks, and oversee end-to-end solution delivery
AI & Analytics Integration
- Identify and prioritise use cases for ML and agentic AI within wealth management workflows — portfolio monitoring, client segmentation, advisory automation, risk profiling, and next-best-action engines
- Work alongside data science and engineering teams to ensure solutions are domain-grounded and client-ready
- Evaluate and guide the adoption of agentic AI tools for automating repetitive advisory and operations workflows
Practice Development
- Contribute to EXL's wealth management thought leadership — whitepapers, client workshops, industry events
- Mentor mid-senior analysts and managers within the practice
- Support business development by identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts
What You Bring
Must Have
- 10–14 years of experience in wealth management, private banking, or investment advisory — either on the client side or in a consulting/analytics delivery environment
- Strong understanding of wealth products — PMS, AIF, structured products, fixed income, estate and succession planning
- Hands-on or supervisory exposure to machine learning applications — client segmentation, churn prediction, portfolio optimisation, or risk analytics
- Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts — autonomous workflows, LLM-based advisory tools, or AI-driven client engagement systems
- Proven ability to lead client-facing engagements and manage senior stakeholder relationships
Good to Have
- CFA / CFP / FRM certification
- Prior experience in a Big 4, consulting firm, or analytics services company serving BFSI clients
- Familiarity with US or UK wealth management regulatory frameworks
- Exposure to wealthtech platforms or digital advisory tools
