About The Role
This isn't a typical
AVP/VP - Payments role. You will work on initiatives that genuinely shift how finance works in India, the kind of work few roles offer.
You will serve as the critical bridge between the traditional fiat banking ecosystem and the evolving world of crypto assets. This role exists to solve the industry's most complex challenge: ensuring seamless, reliable, and compliant on-ramps and off-ramps for millions of Indian users. You will build the rails that allow capital to flow freely and securely, acting as a trusted partner to banks and a guardian of our payment integrity.
What You'll Do
- Architect & Expand Payment Infrastructure Identify, negotiate, and onboard strategic banking partners and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to enable robust Fiat transactions (deposits/withdrawals) on the CoinDCX platform.
- Champion Industry Advocacy Liaise with key regulators (NPCI, RBI) and ecosystem stakeholders to advocate for the crypto sector, ensuring it receives equitable support and service levels comparable to conventional industries.
- Fortify Payment Integrity & Risk Systems Design and implement advanced risk frameworks to detect and restrict high-risk users or malicious intent. You will ensure our partner banks trust our compliance standards, safeguarding our relationships against de-risking.
- Lead Cross-Functional Implementation Orchestrate the end-to-end integration of secured payment solutions by aligning Product, Tech, and Ops teams to deliver seamless execution from agreement to go-live.
- Oversee Payment Operations Excellence Manage the lifecycle of banking operations post-implementation, ensuring high success rates, liquidity management, and rapid resolution of transaction bottlenecks.
- Manage and grow a high-performing payments team , establishing clear ownership, workflows, and collaboration frameworks for smooth day-to-day operations.

- Possess deep empathy for traditional banking constraints while championing crypto innovation
- Negotiate with authority and navigate complex commercial agreements with large financial institutions
- Think structurally about risk; you know how to build systems that protect both the platform and the partner
- Communicate with precision, capable of translating technical payment flows to regulators and bank leadership
- Thrive in a high-stakes regulatory environment where rules evolve rapidly
You'll Know You're Winning When
- You have successfully onboarded at least 2 major banking or PSP partners, diversifying our fiat rails
- Transaction success rates for deposits and withdrawals stabilize at industry-leading benchmarks
- You have implemented a framework that visibly reduces fraud attempts and boosts partner confidence
- Regulatory inquiries or friction points with NPCI/banking partners are preempted or resolved with minimal downtime
- Internal teams (Tech/Product) have a clear roadmap for payment integrations with zero blockers from the business side
