AVP/VP - Associate Avaloq Developers/Senior Avaloq Developers

We're looking for hands-on Avaloq Developers with strong experience across Avaloq modules and deep technical knowledge of the Avaloq Core Platform. You'll design, build, and maintain Avaloq customizations; work closely with business analysts and bank stakeholders; and help deliver implementations, upgrades, and change projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Avaloq customizations and parameterization in line with client requirements and Avaloq best practices.
• Write and optimize code in Avaloq Script and Oracle PL/SQL, including business rules, validations, batch jobs and interfaces.
• Configure and extend Avaloq business objects, order types, workflows, rules and keylists.
• Build and support interfaces between Avaloq and external systems (SWIFT, market data providers, custodians, payment networks, CRM and reporting platforms).
• Participate in Avaloq release upgrades, including impact analysis, code migration, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Troubleshoot production issues (L2/L3), perform root-cause analysis, and deliver permanent fixes.
• Translate functional specifications into technical designs and contribute to estimates and solution design.
• Follow code review, version control, and release management processes, and produce clear technical documentation.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the team.

Avaloq Module Experience (hands-on experience in several of the following)

• Securities & Trading: order management, order types, execution and booking, settlement processing, SWIFT MT5xx messaging.
• Custody & Corporate Actions: safekeeping, positions, income events, mandatory and voluntary corporate actions.
• Payments: domestic and cross-border payments, SWIFT MT1xx/MT2xx and ISO 20022 (MX) messaging, standing orders, cash management.
• Portfolio & Wealth Management: portfolio setup, mandates, investment strategies, rebalancing, performance and valuation.
• Credit & Lending: Lombard loans, collateral management, limits and margining.

Technical Skills

Must have:

• Strong hands-on experience with Avaloq Script and Avaloq Core Platform (ACP) development.
• Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills, including performance tuning.
• Good understanding of the Avaloq data model, business object framework, workflows, and parameterization.
• Experience with Avaloq development tools and the Avaloq release and deployment process.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
• Understanding of private banking and wealth management business processes.

Good to have:

• Avaloq certification (developer or functional) or completed Avaloq training.
• Experience with Avaloq interfaces and integration (SOAP/REST APIs, message queues, file-based interfaces).
• Exposure to Avaloq Front (web/mobile) or other digital channel integration.
• Experience with at least one full Avaloq implementation, migration or major upgrade.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, CI/CD tooling and Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Knowledge of Java, Python or other scripting languages for tooling and automation.
• Experience working with banks in Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Luxembourg or the UK.
