We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
Assistant Vice President - Risk and Control Analytics
In This Role, You Will
- Engage in one line of defence risk management projects namely Issue Management, Control Monitoring activities, Risk and Control Assessments, to name a few.
- Take on priority tasks such as Audit/Assurance Readiness, Operational Resilience project with emphasis on adherence to quality of deliverables and timelines.
- Participate in validating the design and operating effectiveness of the key controls through inspection, inquiry, observation, sampling, re-performance and recalculation.
- Participate in the review of risks and key controls through end-to-end process walkthroughs, events or thematic reviews, data-driven reviews or issue read across, and evidence reviews.
- Assist with the provision of emerging risks and controls knowledge and understanding the industry standards/benchmark.
- Participate in automation projects with the objective of implementing improvements enabling process efficiency and development.
- 1st Line of defence, testing of controls based on fit-for-purpose, check for excessive controls, review quality of controls, etc. in line with Technical User Guide requirements.
To Be Successful, You Will
- Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk management roles
- A good understanding of the Operational Risk Framework
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders such as Risk Owners, Control Owners, Issue Owners, Risk Stewards, to name a few
- Highly developed interpersonal communication skills and collaborative approach
- Ability to prioritize business risk deliverables and work independently in dynamic work conditions
- Knowledge of the changing regulatory requirements for Europe middle east & africa regions
- A sound knowledge of Private Banking and Wealth business, including products & services
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
