Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Leader with strong expertise in data, reporting, and regulatory systems within the Banking/Financial Services domain. This role will play a critical part in building and strengthening Liquidity Risk and Regulatory Reporting platforms while leading high-performing engineering teams.
As an AVP, OFSAA Development, you will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to design, build, and enhance systems supporting US Regulatory Reporting, Liquidity Risk, and Financial Data platforms. The role demands strong technical depth, leadership maturity, and the ability to deliver in a regulated, high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and delivery of solutions supporting US Regulatory Reports (FR 2052a, Liquidity Stress Testing, Cashflow Forecasting), General Ledger, and related systems
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align technology delivery with business objectives
- Oversee system health including performance, security, audit support, remediation, and disaster recovery collaboration
- Manage end-to-end software delivery including planning, estimation, execution, and production readiness
- Visualize and manage dependencies across programs, projects, BAU work, and applications
- Drive discovery and requirement definition for prioritized initiatives
- Develop strong understanding of upstream data sources and generate data-driven insights
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks while ensuring regulatory and policy compliance
- Promote innovation, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (file handling, data processing)
- Hands-on expertise in Tableau, OBIEE, and reporting/visualization tools
- 10+ years of overall experience with at least 5+ years in Technical/Project Leadership roles
- 5+ years of experience in Banking / Financial Services domain
- Strong experience with Oracle Databases, data analysis, and complex SQL queries
- Experience with ETL/Data Integration tools
- Solid exposure to Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Data Marts
- Strong understanding of 3NF and Dimensional Data Models, especially financial data domains
- Experience with GL and reconciliations
- Familiarity with OFSAA LRM and frameworks such as UMM, Run Rule, Batch Operations (preferred)
- Strong understanding of system security, vulnerability management, and EOL management
- Proven experience leading teams in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) using JIRA, Confluence
