Job Title: AVP-Network Security Engineer
Experience: 10-13 Years
Qualification BE / B. Tech / M. Tech - Computer Engineering
Role & Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:
  • Required: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification
  • Strong experience in designing, deploying, and operating large-scale enterprise network environments, including data centers, WAN, DMZ, eCommerce, and mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, STP, EtherChannel, OTV, VPC, VDC, QoS, NTP, SNMP, NetFlow, and CEF.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking platforms including Nexus 7K/9K, Catalyst 9K/6K/4K/3K series, ISR 2900/3900, and Cisco ACI fabric deployments.
  • Proven expertise in Cisco SD-WAN architecture, implementation, migration, troubleshooting, and operational support.
  • Strong operational experience with network security technologies including Cisco firewalls, VPN solutions, proxy services, DNS, and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with F5 Load Balancers (LTM/GTM), including design, deployment, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud networking environments across AWS and Microsoft Azure, including connectivity, security, and network integration.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring, analytics, and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, DCNM, NAE, and LiveAction.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable network architectures, detailed technical designs, implementation plans, and operational documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex routing, switching, performance, and security issues.
  • Experience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Python and Ansible, enabling operational efficiency and standardization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, manage vendors, drive project delivery, support after-hours deployments, and act as a trusted technical advisor.

Qualifications
  • Manage and support enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and reliable network services across data centers and branch locations.
  • Monitor network health, investigate service disruptions, resolve incidents, and escalate complex issues to engineering teams for timely remediation.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain network infrastructure components including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, gateways, and communication servers.
  • Deliver major network transformation initiatives including data center modernization, infrastructure consolidation, cloud migration, Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, AWS, and Microsoft 365 deployments.
  • Design, implement, and support scalable LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi solutions for small, medium, and large remote office environments.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, and security using tools such as SolarWinds, packet analyzers, and network monitoring platforms to ensure optimal operations.
  • Administer IP address management, DNS services, and network documentation using tools such as Infoblox while maintaining accurate infrastructure records.
  • Perform network troubleshooting, root cause analysis, system backups, maintenance activities, and change implementations in accordance with operational and security standards.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept testing, lab validation, technology evaluations, and implementation of emerging networking solutions and best practices.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, engineers, and support teams to define requirements, mitigate operational risks, and deliver network projects successfully.
  • Generate operational reports, conduct audits, identify improvement opportunities, implement corrective actions, and contribute to long-term network architecture planning.
  • Support 24x7 operational readiness through on-call rotations, weekend deployments, critical incident management, and adherence to information security, risk management, and compliance requirements.
