Assistant Vice President MES Architect

Location: Pune / Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end MES architecture design and deployment across enterprise manufacturing environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, operations, quality, and digital teams to define system requirements, scope, and roadmaps.

Integrate MES with PLM, ERP, SCADA, IoT, and Digital Twin environments to enable connected manufacturing operations.

Drive modernization initiatives using AI/ML to optimize product design, production workflows, predictive maintenance, and quality inspection.

Establish engineering best practices, standards, and governance for scalable and secure MES implementations.

Mentor and develop engineering teams; lead knowledge-sharing workshops on modern MES, MBE, and AI-enabled engineering frameworks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.

1215 years of experience implementing MES solutions in complex manufacturing environments.

Strong experience in Digital Twin, Digital Thread, PLM-MES integration, and Model-Based Engineering environments.

Hands-on expertise with leading MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FTPC, AVEVA/Wonderware, Dassault Apriso, SAP ME/MII).

Understanding of thermodynamics, materials, and manufacturing processes across discrete or process industries.

Ability to lead large-scale, multi-location engineering delivery programs.
