. Monitor and mitigate non-compliances proactively
. Drive implementation of compliance frameworks and regulatory changes
. Collaborate with business teams to ensure 90-100% compliance adherence4. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
. Lead legal aspects of acquisitions, restructuring, and funding activities
. Oversee legal due diligence, documentation, and negotiations
. Advise on deal structuring and risk mitigation
. Coordinate with external law firms and internal stakeholders5. Stakeholder & Team Management
. Act as a point of contact for legal across multiple brands and functions
. Collaborate with CXOs, founders, and cross-functional teams
. Mentor and lead a team of 7 legal professionals
. Ensure strong alignment between legal and business priorities6. Training & Knowledge Management
. Identify legal training needs and conduct learning sessions
. Drive legal awareness across business functions
A successful AVP Legal should have:
15-20 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal roles
