Purpose of the Role

The AVP Finance is responsible for supervising and leading the Accounts and finance related activities of the company including responsibility for strategic planning, accounting, finance, forecasting, audits, stakeholder relationships, risk, and governance. They should have a clear vision of the kind of finance function that they intend to build under their leadership and develop a comprehensive & collaborative roadmap to realize that vision. This candidate will be leading the US offshore teams and develop the FP&A Business Finance teams. Needs a clear understanding of the IND AS / US GAAP Financials + stakeholder Management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial strategy, vision & planning

• Develop a comprehensive vision and roadmap for sustenance and growth of the F&A function

• Drive financial strategy in alignment with the organization's vision

• Nurture the team members with Career path and opportunities for growth within the India Local and offshore teams.

• Lead transitioning and development of F&A processes and capabilities

• Head collaboration of all F&A sub-functions and supervise functioning of key internal & outsourced processes

• Lead relationship and interaction with independent oversight partners

• Drive effective monitoring & enhancement of F&A processes, policies, procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency

• Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends, and areas for improvement

• Prepare and review accurate and timely financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders

• Defines multi‑year roadmap for finance capability, scale, and transformation

2. Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee all accounting activities including statutory, management, and regulatory reporting.

• Ensure full compliance with IND AS, applicable Indian laws, and relevant global accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP where applicable).

• Review and approve accurate and timely financial statements, board decks, and executive reports. • Ensure robust internal controls and audit‑ready processes across all finance functions.

3. Governance, Risk & Audit

• Establish and oversee effective financial governance and risk management frameworks.

• Ensure systems and controls are in place to comply with Companies Act, statutory filings, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.

• Lead interactions with statutory auditors, internal auditors, regulators, and independent oversight partners.

• Proactively identify financial and operational risks and drive mitigation strategies.

4. Financial Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning.

• Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective or growth‑oriented actions.

• Drive strong financial discipline, cost optimization, and value realization across the organization.

5. Stakeholder & Global Engagement

• Lead engagement with global finance teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.

• Represent the finance function in board‑level, executive, and cross‑functional forums.

• Build, mentor, and retain a high‑caliber finance leadership team.

7. Transformation & Continuous Improvement

• Lead finance transformation initiatives, including process re‑engineering, automation, and digitization.

• Drive standardization, efficiency improvements, and scalability across Finance & Accounting operations.

• Leverage analytics and technology to enhance decision‑making and reporting effectiveness.

Education Minimum Qualification – Masters in Finance or equivalent/ CA / CPA / ICMA;

• Extensive senior‑level experience in Finance & Accounting leadership roles. Experience

• Experience in shared services, GCC, or complex multinational environments preferred Certifications (Desired) Chartered Accountant / CPA / equivalent advanced finance qualification

Functional Skills

• Knowledge & Experience in accounting practices (Ind AS, IFRS)

• Well-versed with ERP and accounting systems (Oracle ERP)

• Understanding of Indian & cross border corporate laws

• Understanding of Indian & cross border Tax laws including transfer pricing, SEZ, STPI related provisions

• Financial & Operational risk management

• Experience in leading and managing multi-functional teams, outsourced processes & external consultants.
