Cloud Network Engineer Job Description
- Implement cloud-based network solutions tailored to business requirements, including selecting appropriate providers, configuring routing, and setting up virtual network's appliances.
- Implement and enforce network security, compliance measures, and best practices aligned with organizational requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and resiliency of cloud network infrastructure, minimizing downtime and ensuring redundancy.
- Support and work alongside a cross-functional team, providing capabilities for the technical stacks used at Aviatrix
- Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code, maintain, and extend network CI/CD pipeline
- Support hybrid cloud and multi-cloud network integration and automate processes for repeatability and efficiency.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Implement secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures in private, public, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Good experience and knowledge of Multi cloud Networking tool Aviatrix.
- Configure and manage aviatrix and cloud native network virtual appliances.
- Proactively monitor and remediate network incidents, plan upgrades, and recommend enhancements.
- Develop, document, and automate operational and disaster recovery processes and playbooks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines, standards, and regulations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their networking services.
- Proficiency in Aviatrix Multi-Cloud Networking
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, BGP, OSPF, firewalls, load balancing, DNS, VPNs).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CICD pipeline (Azure DevOps).
- Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization capabilities.
- Knowledge of security management, compliance, and cost control in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and management tasks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience maintaining and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant systems at scale
- Certifications Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, or Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer are preferred.
- Prior experience in traditional networking and cloud migrations is beneficial.
