Job Description - AVEVA Senior Consultant

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced AVEVA Senior Consultant with 7-10 years of relevant experience in designing, implementing, integrating, upgrading, and supporting AVEVA-based industrial automation and digital manufacturing solutions.

The candidate will be responsible for delivering scalable and reliable AVEVA solutions across manufacturing environments. The role requires strong technical expertise, manufacturing-domain knowledge, stakeholder management, and the ability to lead technical teams across implementation, transition, and application-support engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, configuration, implementation, and support of AVEVA solutions.
  • Work extensively on AVEVA products such as:
    • AVEVA System Platform
    • AVEVA Application Server
    • AVEVA InTouch HMI
    • AVEVA Historian
    • AVEVA Operations Management Interface
    • AVEVA Edge
    • AVEVA Insight
    • AVEVA Manufacturing Execution System, where applicable
  • Gather business and technical requirements from plant operations, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable functional and technical solution designs.
  • Develop and configure HMI and SCADA screens, symbols, templates, objects, scripts, alarms, trends, dashboards, and reports.
  • Design reusable application objects and templates using AVEVA System Platform standards.
  • Configure communication between AVEVA applications and PLCs, DCS, OPC servers, historians, databases, and shop-floor equipment.
  • Integrate AVEVA solutions with MES, ERP, LIMS, CMMS, PI System, reporting platforms, and other enterprise applications.
  • Lead application installation, system configuration, migration, version upgrades, patching, and modernization activities.
  • Review existing AVEVA architecture and recommend improvements related to performance, scalability, availability, security, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, communication, integration, and database-related issues.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring incidents.
  • Participate in incident, problem, change, release, and service-request management processes.
  • Support critical production issues and provide technical guidance during major incidents.
  • Prepare solution-design documents, technical specifications, configuration documents, interface documents, test scripts, deployment plans, and operating procedures.
  • Lead unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, and production deployment.
  • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, user-access management, backup, disaster-recovery, audit, and organizational governance requirements.
  • Coordinate with OEM vendors, infrastructure teams, plant stakeholders, network teams, database administrators, and third-party service providers.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior consultants, developers, and support engineers.
  • Participate in project planning, effort estimation, resource planning, risk management, and delivery tracking.
  • Support transition activities, including application discovery, knowledge acquisition, documentation, shadow support, reverse shadow support, and operational handover.
  • Contribute to proposals, solution presentations, technical assessments, and customer demonstrations.
