About the Role
The role involves managing and optimizing AutoSys environments, ensuring seamless job scheduling and system administration while providing support and collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration:
- Install and configure AutoSys components (AE, EEM, WCC, Agents)
- Perform upgrades and patching of AutoSys environments
Job Scheduling & Management:
- Create, modify, and manage job definitions using JIL and WCC.
- Schedule and monitor batch jobs and workflows.
- Troubleshoot job failures and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Expert in CA AutoSys v11.x
- Embedded Entitlement Manager and Workload Control Center
System Administration:
- Maintain AutoSys servers and agents across Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
- Manage user accounts, roles, and access controls.
- Perform regular system health checks and performance tuning.
Incident & Problem Management:
- Respond to incidents and service requests related to job failures or system issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Installation & configuration of AutoSys agents and clients on Windows, Linux, and UNIX platforms
- Proficient in Linux administration, Unix scripting and Oracle database experience would be beneficial.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of job flows, configurations, and procedures.
- Generate reports on job performance, failures, and system utilization.
Integration & Automation:
- Integrate AutoSys with other enterprise tools and applications.
- Develop scripts (Shell, Python, etc.) to automate routine tasks.
Support & Collaboration:
- Work closely with application teams, developers, and infrastructure teams.
- Provide training and support to end-users and junior administrators.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with AutoSys (v11.x or higher).
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience with scripting languages (Shell, Python, Perl).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and tools like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow.
- Good understanding of networking and system architecture.
