In this role, you will be responsible for system-level functional testing of Body Control Modules (BCM) within automotive environments. You will work with advanced automotive communication protocols, simulation tools, and test environments to ensure high-quality software delivery aligned with industry standards.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile setup, contributing to test strategy, execution, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with ASPICE and functional safety standards.
Your tasks
- Performing system-level functional testing of the Body Control Module (BCM)
- Working with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and Ethernet
- Developing automated test environments and configuring CANoe with Rest Bus simulation
- Setting up test environments and debugging system-level issues
- Using simulation tools such as CANoe and VTest Studio for validation
- Operating test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes and function generators
- Developing test scripts using C, CAPL, and Python
- Managing requirements, configuration, and defects using tools like Polarion and JIRA
- Defining test strategy, test plans, and executing tests with proper reporting and defect tracking
- Collaborating within Agile (Scrum) teams to ensure timely delivery
- Applying ASPICE processes and functional safety standards in testing
- Supporting bootloader and software download (SWDL) validation
- Debugging using tools such as Lauterbach
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with system-level testing of automotive ECUs (BCM preferred)
- Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, DoIP)
- Proficient in tools such as CANoe and VTest Studio
- Proven ability to develop automated test environments and test benches
- Solid knowledge of test environment setup and debugging techniques
- Programming expertise in C, CAPL, and Python
- Experience using test and measurement equipment (oscilloscope, function generators)
- Familiarity with requirement and defect management tools (Polarion, JIRA, SCM tools)
- Demonstrated capability in test strategy, planning, execution, and defect tracking
- Proficiency in English
- Understanding of ASPICE processes and functional safety standards
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture
- Familiarity with Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) concepts
Nice to have
- Previous work with ISO 15118
- Knowledge of NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand
- Experience with Lauterbach debugging tools
- Exposure to bootloader and software download (SWDL) processes
