Automotive Headliner designer

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Automotive Headliner Designer based in Chennai, with flexibility for partial work-from-home arrangements. The designer will develop and refine headliner designs, prototypes, and manufacturing solutions for automobile interiors. Responsibilities include creating technical drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, selecting suitable materials, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

• Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modeling for automotive design
• Expertise in material selection and manufacturing processes, specifically for automotive interiors
• Knowledge of prototyping techniques and ability to create functional prototypes
• Strong understanding of design and engineering principles, including structural requirements and product safety standards
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Problem-solving abilities to address challenges in the design and manufacturing processes
• Attention to detail and capability to deliver high-quality designs
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
• Prior experience in automotive design, specifically in headliner development, is an advantage
