Role Summary
The engineer will support LiDAR, RADAR, and Camera packaging & integration into the J02 vehicle program, working across Body Exterior and Interior systems. Responsibilities include CAD updates, mounting concepts, bracket design, feasibility studies, and driving CN/ECN releases. The role requires strong product development knowledge with basic understanding of ADAS sensors, interfaces, and FoV constraints. Work will be delivered largely offshore with close coordination with cross-functional ADAS, Electrical, CAE, and Manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform packaging studies for LiDAR, RADAR, and Cameras across exterior (bumper, grille, roof, mirrors) and interior (IP, cluster, DMS) zones.
- Develop mounting concepts, brackets, housings, ensuring FoV, alignment, and serviceability requirements.
- Create/update 3D CAD models aligned with OEM standards.
- Update BOM and maintain part history.
- Prepare mounting concept sheets and packaging documentation.
- Initiate and manage CN/ECN workflows for ADAS components.
- Support prototype builds and integration activities.
- Coordinate with ADAS/Controls, Electrical, Validation, CAE, and Manufacturing teams.
- Provide weekly status reports and technical documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering.
- 68 years experience in Body Exterior / Interior product development.
- Experience with sensor packaging (LiDAR, RADAR, Cameras).
- Understanding of ADAS basics including FoV and mounting constraints.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA / NX ).
- Experience with CN/ECN processes.
- Strong communication for offshore-onshore collaboration
