Develop end-to-end diagnostic content for all automotive systems including engine management, electric & hybrid systems, brake control, infotainment, ADAS, transmission, HVAC, and airbags
Analyze vehicle communication bus logs using various analyzers
Simulate automotive systems using simulator solutions and in conjunction with OE testers
Design and create workflow or test sequences using IDEs like BDX or Grade-X
Evaluate OE diagnostic data, derive useful insights, and implement findings in target tester
Perform on-vehicle validation of implemented diagnostic content and create test reports
Conduct benchmarking and reverse engineering of aftersales & aftermarket diagnostic testers
Evaluate coverage of aftermarket tester by performing tests on various vehicle brands and systems across different markets and create test reports
Review deliverables thoroughly and provide recommendations
Engage in continuous learning and self-development
Collaborate closely with software engineering teams and technical experts from global teams
Travel to workshops and OE dealerships as needed for on-vehicle coverage, tracing, and release testing
Mandatory Qualifications:
Strong vehicle system knowledge, including sub-systems and components
Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicles and make them roadworthy
Ability to understand OE system descriptions, service & repair manuals
Ability to independently handle diagnostic testers
Proficiency with diagnostic testers including VIDA, Xentry, GDS, ADT, SDT-II, DiagBox, HDS, Launch, Autel, G-Scan, and Zenith
Good knowledge of wiring diagrams and conventions
Good knowledge of Bosch Aftermarket Diagnostic Tool - ESI [tronic]
Sound knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, UDS, and J1939
Good knowledge of BDX-Bosch Data Extension
Experience with analyzer & simulation tools from Vector or Samtec such as HSX and HS+
