Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Bengaluru, India, with flexibility for partial remote work.
We are seeking a highly experienced Automation Testing Lead & Product Owner who combines strong technical expertise with product leadership capabilities. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a management-only position. The successful candidate will be expected to actively design, develop, execute, and maintain automated testing solutions while simultaneously leading our testing strategy, mentoring team members, and driving product direction for our proprietary testing platform.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Oracle ERP solutions including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Oracle APEX, and related Oracle technologies, along with strong functional understanding of ERP business processes.
This individual will become the leader of oAppsNET's testing practice, responsible for day-to-day testing operations, quality assurance strategy, customer implementations, and ongoing evolution of our testing products and services.
Key ResponsibilitiesTest Automation Leadership
- Define, own, and execute the enterprise test automation strategy across Oracle ERP, Oracle Fusion, Oracle EBS, Oracle APEX, and related enterprise applications.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test frameworks, scripts, and suites covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and end-to-end business process testing.
- Establish testing standards, best practices, governance, and quality metrics across all projects.
- Lead daily testing activities while remaining actively involved in hands-on automation development and execution.
- Analyze defects, test results, and quality trends to proactively improve product and implementation quality.
- Evaluate emerging testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to continuously improve testing effectiveness.
Testing Practice Leadership
- Lead and mentor the existing QA and automation team, establishing a high-performance testing organization.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, framework improvements, and coaching for junior and senior team members.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across testing processes, tools, reporting, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Serve as the primary testing authority within the organization, helping shape company-wide quality standards.
Product Owner Responsibilities
- Act as Product Owner for oAppsNET's proprietary testing solution and testing-related products.
- Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap based on market trends, customer feedback, competitive analysis, and internal priorities.
- Continuously assess the testing marketplace, including leading automation tools and platforms, to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature prioritization.
- Manage and refine the product backlog while balancing customer needs, business objectives, and technical considerations.
- Collaborate closely with leadership, development teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure product success.
Internal Product Quality & Platform Support
- Lead testing initiatives for the oAppsNET platform and related products.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features, releases, integrations, and customer-specific configurations.
- Partner closely with engineering teams to improve product quality and release readiness.
- Support CI/CD and DevOps initiatives by integrating automated testing into delivery pipelines.
Customer Implementation & Support
- Lead implementation and adoption of oAppsNET testing solutions at customer sites.
- Work directly with customer stakeholders to understand business processes, testing requirements, and quality objectives.
- Support customer testing programs, user acceptance testing, and production readiness activities.
- Provide post-implementation guidance and support to ensure customer success.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on ERP testing strategy and best practices.
Required QualificationsERP & Oracle Expertise
- Strong experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and/or Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.
- Experience working with Oracle APEX applications and testing methodologies.
- Deep understanding of ERP business processes including Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Human Capital Management, Projects, and related enterprise functions.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations, or transformation programs.
Testing & Automation
- Proven experience as an Automation Testing Lead, QA Lead, or similar role within ERP environments.
- Hands-on experience designing and building automation frameworks using modern testing tools and programming languages.
- Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end business process testing.
- Experience implementing scalable automation strategies across enterprise applications.
Product Ownership & Analysis
- Demonstrated Product Owner experience including backlog management, roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and stakeholder management.
- Strong business analysis capabilities including requirements gathering, process mapping, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definition.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into testable specifications and product enhancements.
Leadership & Communication
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with executives, customers, business users, developers, and QA teams.
- Proven ability to mentor, develop, and lead testing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- ISTQB, Agile Product Owner, Scrum Product Owner, Oracle, or ERP-related certifications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-based testing environments.
- Experience evaluating and comparing commercial and open-source testing platforms.
- Experience working with enterprise customers in consulting or managed services environments.
