Automation Testing Engineer - Python

• 5 to 7 years of experience in automating end-to-end UI tests for web and mobile applications using Playwright & Python
• Actively gather and champion customer feedback post-launch, and relay actionable insights to development teams
• Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience in automation testing
• Proficient in testing consumer-centric web and mobile apps with a strong focus on product quality and usability
• Ensure consistent user experience across platforms using Playwright's cross-browser testing features
• Design effective test plans and write clear, informative bug reports using tools like Jira
• Self-motivated to enhance app performance and user experience beyond the original scope
• Familiar with Jira and similar bug tracking/reporting tools for managing QA workflows
• Maintain and enhance Playwright-based performance testing frameworks
• Fix failing, flaky, or disabled tests to maintain suite stability
• Add and maintain automated regression tests for continuous test coverage
• Collaborate with QA, Apollo, and DevX teams to ensure high test quality and release alignment
• Continuously improve the test automation framework for increased reliability, speed, and reporting clarity
• Maintain and execute automated beta test regression suites; review and update failing test cases
• Report feature and test progress regularly to the QE Manager, highlighting risks and areas for improvement

Required Skills

• Strong experience in automation testing using Playwright and Python
• Must have hands-on experience with Playwright
• Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch or maintaining existing ones
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies:
• Sprint Planning
• Sprint Execution
• Sprint Review
• Sprint Retrospective
• Ability to drive sprints or releases to closure
• Experience with continuous integration (CI) tools, preferably Jenkins
• Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills
