Automation Tester

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester with strong Java coding expertise. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts, as well as supporting manual testing activities. This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Automation: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for applications using Java and relevant tools.
• Manual Testing Support: Perform manual testing activities to complement automated tests and ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Programming Knowledge: Apply programming knowledge, preferably in JavaScript, to develop test scripts and frameworks.
• Test Execution & Reporting: Execute test cases, analyze results, report defects, and track resolutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements in test processes, frameworks, and automation strategies to enhance test efficiency.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

• 1-4 years of experience in automation and manual testing
• Strong programming skills in Java
• Exposure to programming in JavaScript is preferred
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks
• Understanding of software testing lifecycle and methodologies
• Ability to document test results and raise detailed defect reports

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

• Experience in developing automated testing frameworks
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and integration with automation
