Position Summary
Level: Senior Consultant
As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.
As an automation tester, you will be responsible to analyze nonfunctional requirements, design test scenarios/ cases/ scripts, RTM, perform test execution, document defects, triage defects, document results and attain sign-off of the design & results.
Work you'll do:
Lead discussions with business and functional analysts to understand requirements and assess integration impacts on business architecture. Prepare technical architecture and design, clarify requirements, and resolve ambiguities. Develop solutions in line with established technical designs, integration standards, and quality processes. Create and enforce technical design and development guides, templates, and standards. Facilitate daily scrum meetings, manage deliverables, and prepare weekly status reports for leadership review. Conduct detailed deliverable reviews and provide technical guidance to team members. Collaborate with onsite clients, coordinators, analysts, and cross-functional teams. Design templates or scripts to automate routine development or operational tasks.
- Participating in business requirements discussions with client, onshore or offshore teams and attaining any clarifications to design test scenarios/cases/scripts.
- Designing clean, efficient, and well-documented performance test scenarios/ scripts and maintaining industry & client standards, based on business requirement analysis.
- Provisioning the test data required to perform test execution.
- Performing automated test execution, logging defects, tracking, and triaging defects to closure, and documenting test results.
- Creating automated test results/reports.
- Tracking and resolving dependencies that impact test activities.
- Reporting and escalating any risks/issues which are blocking test activities.
- Lead the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define test requirements.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of software releases through rigorous testing.
- Mentor and guide junior automation engineers in best practices.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and tools.
- Report on test progress, defects, and overall quality of the product.
- Continuously drive improvements in the automation testing process.
- Adopt Gen AI to increase efficiency of automation processes.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 7-9 years of hands-on experience in automation testing tools - Selenium with languages like Java/ C# / Python.
- Develop test automation strategy for large complex projects in agile/waterfall or hybrid methodology.
- Design reusable and scalable test automation framework, execution and lead automation delivery using Selenium, Appium and other automation tools.
- Designing, creating/ constructing and executing automation test cases for web, mobile and API web services.
- Experience in selenium, Web Driver, TestNG, BDD and and programming language like Core Java, C#, Python.
- Estimate all testing activities and deep knowledge on QA methodologies and tools.
- Integrating the automation suite in the CI/CD pipeline.
- Understand functional and design specifications to determine and prepare automated test scripts and maintain test case suite.
- Collaborates with product line stakeholders to understand and develop strategies, frameworks relating to their emerging demands.
- Driving innovation/adoption of Industry practices through investigation/institutionalization of new tools/ methods/ standards.
- Understands the GenAI and adoption of GenAI in automation testing processes.
- Experience in test status reporting and leading a team of 10-12 members.
- Work with the development team to understand the technologies and develop / implement automated testing tools for data comparison and transformation.
- A deep, practical understanding of SDLC processes including requirements, design, development, build, release management, and quality assurance.
- Contribute to team agile planning activities and backlog prioritization and management.
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Experience in additional test automation tools such as TOSCA UFT or UiPath tools
- ISTQB/CSTE Testing Certifications
- Cloud-related certification like AWS/ GCP/ Azure, etc.
- 7-9 years of prior experience in automation testing for web application and API testing
Education:
- BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
