Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester with strong expertise in Selenium, Java, AWS, and test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will design, develop, maintain, and execute automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and performance of complex software applications. You'll work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to enable robust automation across web and cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java for functional and regression testing.

Implement and maintain automation frameworks, BDD approaches (e.g., Cucumber), and modular reusable components.

Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test plans.

Perform API testing using tools like RestAssured, Postman, or equivalent and validate backend services.

Analyse test results, track defects, report issues, and work with technical teams for timely resolution.

Develop and uphold best practices for test automation, including test data management and results reporting.

Ensure test coverage across web, API, and cloud-based applications. (Add AWS testing integration where applicable).

Required Skills & Qualifications

712 years of experience in software test automation.

Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver with Java development.

Solid coding skills in Java and understanding of automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit).

Experience working with AWS services for cloud-based automation or testing environments (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3) preferred. (If AWS certifications/experience needed, mention specifics).

Experience in API automation testing (RestAssured, Postman).

Integration of automated tests within CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber) and good understanding of SDLC & STLC.

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Education

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.

Nice to Have (Optional)

Experience with Cloud testing tools or AWS automation frameworks.

Experience with performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner).

Exposure to containerization or orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
