Automation Test Engineer

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver, following best practices like proper wait strategies
• Write and manage test cases using TestNG and integrate Gherkin steps using Cucumber for BDD frameworks
• Apply OOPs concepts (Inheritance, Polymorphism, etc.) effectively in test automation frameworks
• Design, implement, and execute various testing types: Unit, Integration, Regression, Smoke, and Sanity Testing
• Perform backend validation using SQL queries to ensure data accuracy
• Prepare detailed test documentation, structure test cases, and record test execution evidence
• Validate data independently of UI availability to ensure cross-platform consistency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure test coverage
• Ensure software quality aligns with industry standards and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Java and Selenium WebDriver
• Hands-on experience with TestNG and Cucumber
• Sound understanding of object-oriented programming and automation principles
• Knowledge of various testing types and associated responsibilities
• Backend validation and SQL query writing experience
• Ability to document test cases and record test evidence effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills, especially in non-UI validations
• Excellent communication and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Agile environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI
• Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps
