About the Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate Automation Test Engineers with a solid understanding of Software Testing concepts and hands-on knowledge of Python-based Automation frameworks. The selected candidates will work with our QA and development teams to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts that ensure the quality and performance of our software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts using Python.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for web or API applications.
- Work with QA leads to design and implement test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Unittest, Robot Framework, or Selenium with Python).
- Identify, log, and track software defects, ensuring proper documentation.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand new features and ensure quality delivery.
- Participate in code reviews, test planning, and test case design.
- Continuously improve test coverage, reliability, and automation efficiency.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
- Good knowledge of Python programming (functions, OOPs, file handling, modules, etc.).
- Hands-on experience or academic exposure to Automation Testing tools such as:
- Selenium WebDriver with Python
- PyTest / Unittest frameworks
- Robot Framework (optional but good to have)
- API Testing using Postman or Python requests module
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (like Jenkins, GitHub Actions) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Version Control Systems (Git / GitHub).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Database Testing (using SQL queries).
- Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Understanding of Test Reporting tools (like Allure Reports or Extent Reports).
