Responsibilities:
- Test Automation Development & Maintenance: Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using QTP/UFT, and potentially other frameworks like Selenium WebDriver with Java.
- Collaboration & Requirements Definition: Work closely with development and QA teams to understand and define comprehensive test requirements.
- Testing Execution: Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Defect Management: Analyze test results, identify, report, and track defects, ensuring detailed information for resolution.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain thorough test documentation and ensure adherence to established standards and best practices.
- Framework & Tooling Enhancement: Utilize and potentially contribute to the development of test frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber) and automation patterns.
- Advanced Testing Practices: Implement and leverage data-driven testing, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and API testing methodologies.
Skills:
Mandatory Skills:
- Programming Languages: Java, VBScript (for QTP/UFT).
- Test Automation Tools: QTP/UFT Automation, Selenium WebDriver.
- Test Frameworks: JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber.
- Test Automation Concepts: Test Automation Patterns, Data-Driven Testing, BDD.
- Testing Methodologies: Regression and Functional Testing, API Testing.
- Test Management Tools: Experience with tools like ALM/Quality Center.
- Defect Tracking Tools: Proficiency in using defect tracking tools.
- Testing Understanding: Strong understanding of testing methodologies and Agile practices.
Experience:
- Proven experience in QTP/UFT testing.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining automated test suites.
