Automation Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with experience in functional testing, test automation, and cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing test plans, writing and converting test cases into automated scripts, and integrating testing within DevOps pipelines.

The role requires strong collaboration with developers, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to ensure high-quality software delivery in cloud-enabled applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test strategies for applications and systems.

Write, review, and maintain detailed test cases and test scenarios based on functional requirements.

Convert manual test cases into automated test scripts for improved test coverage and efficiency.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

Build and maintain automation frameworks for web, API, or application testing.

Develop automated test scripts using modern automation tools and frameworks.

Execute and monitor automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

Work with DevOps teams to integrate continuous testing practices into the software delivery lifecycle.

Validate applications deployed in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Identify, track, and report defects using test management and defect tracking tools.

Collaborate with developers and product teams to analyze requirements and improve test coverage.

Ensure adherence to quality standards and best QA practices.

Required Skills

Strong experience in functional testing and test case design.

Hands-on experience in test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.

Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Experience with API testing and automation using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

Experience preparing test plans, test cases, and test documentation.

Experience converting manual test cases into automation scripts.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
