Role Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Test Engineer to join our team in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring 5 days a week in the office. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, a passion for quality assurance, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Success in this position will involve ensuring software reliability, collaborating with teams to improve product quality, and supporting the organization's mission to deliver robust and efficient solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and maintain test cases to ensure software functionality and performance.
- Conduct API testing to validate backend services and integration points.
- Automate testing processes using tools such as Selenium and Cucumber.
- Write and execute SQL queries and stored procedures to validate database integrity.
- Identify, analyze, and document software defects and work closely with developers for resolution.
- Develop a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), providing input to enhance product quality.
- Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Create and maintain detailed testing documentation, including test plans, reports, and metrics.
- Be flexible and available for night shifts when required.
Qualifications:
Education:
- BE/B.Tech/BSc/MCA in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience:
- 0–2 years of experience in software automation testing, API testing, DevOps, or related fields.
- Freshers with strong coding & technical skills are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
- Good programming and coding skills in any programming language.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium and Cucumber is an advantage.
- Familiarity with databases like MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of basic testing principles and SDLC processes.
Soft Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter mindset with a passion for software quality.
For Freshers:
Candidates with good programming and coding skills in any language, and a solid understanding of SDLC are encouraged to apply. Communication skills and a willingness to learn are essential.
