Automation Test Engineer || FNP

Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer with 4-5 years of expertise in functional testing, API validation, and basic test automation for web and mobile applications.
• A solid foundation in Java, proficiency in test automation frameworks, and strong database testing skills are essential to do out of box testing. Experience with Linux and CI/CD pipelines is required, while familiarity with e-commerce domain expertise will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Design & Execution:

• Translate technical and business requirements into comprehensive test strategies and cases, with a focus on e-commerce workflows such as product search, checkout, and payment gateways etc.
• Create, maintain, and execute functional, regression, and smoke test cases.
• Perform web and mobile application testing (manual and automated) with an eye for user experience

2. Automation Testing:(Basic) , should be eager to learn

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for web (Selenium/TestNG) and mobile Appium
• Automate core e-commerce functionalities such as Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

3. API & Database Testing:

• Test APIs (REST/SOAP) related to e-commerce services like inventory management, order processing, and payment integrations.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for backend database validation (MySQL/PostgreSQL).

4. Collaboration & Leadership:

• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand and test e-commerce-specific features.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and ensure knowledge-sharing across the team.
• Contribute to QA strategy, focusing on the fast-paced demands of the e-commerce industry.

5. Monitoring & Reporting:

• Document testing phases, defects, and resolutions clearly using tools like Jira or Bugzilla.
• Provide quality metrics, defect reports, and actionable insights tailored for e-commerce platforms.
• Conduct post-release testing to ensure smooth customer experiences and system performance.
• Have attitude to learn and grow , should be a good team player .

Technical Skills:

• Mandatory:

proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.

Basic level knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, TestNG, Appium).

Hands-on experience with Linux OS and shell scripting.

Basic in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
