Role Summary
The Automation Test Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for Consumer Data Right (CDR) Product and Customer Data APIs, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and scalable data-sharing solutions. The role focuses on API automation, data validation, and regression coverage aligned to CDR standards and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement API automation frameworks for CDR endpoints
- Automate testing for Product Reference Data and Customer Data APIs
- Validate CDR data standards, schema compliance, and mandatory attributes
- Automate consent-based data sharing flows, including token lifecycle scenarios
- Implement positive, negative, boundary, and error scenariosin automation
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Execute automated regression and smoke test suites
- Analyze automation failures and collaborate with development teams
- Maintain test data and environment configurations
- Support release validation and production smoke testing
- Contribute to automation best practices, coding standards, and framework improvements
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in API automation testing
- Hands-on expertise with tools/frameworks such as:
- Rest Assured/ Java, Karate, or Postman + Newman
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods & status codes
- Experience withOAuth2, JWT, mTLS, and secure API testing
- Familiarity with CDROpenAPI(Swagger) specifications
- Experience with version control(Git) and CI/CD tools(Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with test management tools(JIRA, Zephyr, Xray)
Desirable Skills
- Prior experience in Consumer Data Right / Open Banking programs
- Knowledge of banking product and customer data models
- Exposure to contract testing and schema validation
